Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Hi everyone,

In late 2014 I joined my very first cruise ship working as a shop assistant. Since then I’ve worked on eight different ships across five different cruise lines. I always intended to start a blog but while I scribbled down my thoughts here and there, and took plenty of photos, there was always something keeping me busy enough to put it off. Well three-and-half years and over sixty countries later, here I am. My blog posts will cover a range of things; my personal experience of working on ships, travel posts, things you might not know about the industry, etc., I will try to keep it varied. I’ll also take requests – if there’s anything you’d like me to write about, please let me know!

I’ll have the first post up within the next couple of days. Until then, thanks for reading and stay tuned!

      1. I’ve been in September before…it’s definitely nerve-raking to travel alone. At least it will be for me, despite being able to connect with locals in all places I’m visiting.
